Are you ready for a trip to Africa? The continent has always been in the interest of western powers for various reasons. It’s lands were once part of the massive empires of Alexander and later, Rome, their teachings and culture are unique, and some are forever lost and changed due to Islamic invasions that eradicated their former beliefs and systems of rule.
- The Africa Wild slot machine is a bold move from Logispin, as it’s the only animal-themed slot machine they’ve produced. The company have created many slot titles but tend to follow a theme such as One Night in Vegas slot, Turkish Nights slot and Bollywood Nights slot.
- Wild Africa Slots. Grupo MGA brings us an online slots safari in the Wild Africa video slot, with African wildlife roaming the 20 paylines of this lush animal-themed slot. Features such as cascading reels tie.
So join us on a safari in Leander Games’ latest release, Africa Goes Wild, in which the various animals turn Wild to help you land the wins you need, as well as the presence of the well known and always welcome free spins. The offered symbols are 9, 10, J, Q, K and A, a cheetah, a buffalo, a rhino, an elephant and a lion – all proud animals that inhabit the African savannah. The slot’s logo is used as the Wild, while a white lion statue is used as a Scatter.
Developer
Leander Games isn’t nearly as widespread of a name as it should be. The studio was founded in 2008 with the interest of being an independent company with a goal to deliver innovative game content to market faster than current solutions.
The company uses its own LeGa Remote Gaming Service as a back-end for all their games, which is accredited and licensed by UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, and support over 30 languages and currencies. It also comes with their own range of titles, as the company does it best to maintain innovation in the field while creating top quality art and balanced mathematics to ensure players receive a fun and enjoyable experience.
How to Play it
The title is played on a 5×4 playing field with 1024 ways to win – forgoing regular paylines in favour of adjacent wins. Any time three symbols complete a winning combination left to right, they award a win. Players can wager between $0.40 up to $20 per spin, which is great for casual gamblers, but high rollers may not be satisfied with a limit of $20 per spin.
Africa Goes Wild does offer an Autoplay option, but it only allows you to set how many spins you want it to go through – you can’t set any loss limits or win thresholds ahead of time. The title also has a mobile version, although there aren’t any gameplay changes between them – simply different user interfaces.
While the graphics aren’t bad, we also aren’t particularly impressed by them either. The animals look quite cool, in our opinion, except the lion, who kind of looks like he has a bit of a drinking problem – bit problematic, since they put him to be the star of the show. The backdrop of a quiet, sparse savannah is a nice touch, and you occasionally get to see some smoke billowing or a buffalo wandering in the background.

Special Features
The first bonus is activated entirely at random. One of the animal symbols is chosen at random and turned into a golden Wild – and for the duration of that one spin, all of those animals become golden Wild, and reward the same prize as the top paying lion symbol.
The second bonus is the free spins feature, activated when three white lion statues appear on the first, third and fifth reel, which rewards ten free spins. If you only manage to secure two, an animal stampede will try to land the third Scatter in place to help make the bonus happen.
Once the free spins are active, all Wilds gain a 2x multiplier, and a golden lion symbol can appear on the fifth reel. Collect enough of them, and it can reward extra free spins, multipliers or it can even activate the first bonus feature we mentioned during the free spins – all you have to do is to slowly fill the golden lion meter on top of the reels.

Pride Of Africa Slot Machine
After playing for a while, it’s clear that the game is more inclined towards making you get a lot of wins compared to lining up one giant win – which also works out with our desire to want to keep the free spins bonus going for as long as humanly possible. We weren’t able to confirm the volatility of the game anywhere online. The title has an RTP of 96.04%, which is above average for video slots.
Summary
Africa Goes Wild didn’t woo us with its graphics, but its gameplay was different enough that we felt it warranted trying out. We can’t really sing its praises and say it’s a must play – but if you’re looking for something new to try, feel free to give it a spin or two and see if you enjoy it.
